MaMeLanI MOVeRS CaPe aRGUS TeaM 2014

In March 2014, for the first time, Mamelani Projects participated in the Argus, mobilising our very own Mamelani Movers Team. Over 20 adult riders all put a great effort into training and cycling on the day, and also into raising much needed funds and awareness of Mamelani’s work. Two of the first time riders on our team were from Mamelani – our Director, Carly, and one of the youth participants, Simphiwe, stepped up to the challenge! Another highlight of the campaign was our Kiddies Argus team. 23 little Mamelani Movers rode their tricycles and bicycles in support of Mamelani, showing that kids can make a difference too! The event turned out to be a huge success with the Argus Campaign raising over R100 000 towards assisting young people to access paid internships over the next year. We at Mamelani Projects are overwhelmed with the support of all the riders and those who backed them! We are deeply grateful to each of you for the role you played in the success of the campaign!
