Mamelani Projects Argus 2015 Campaign

This year the Cape Town Cycle Tour was dedicated to the brave firefighters who risked their lives saving our beautiful mountainside. Mamelani was honoured to have a team of 48 adult riders and 23 kiddies’ cyclists riding for Mamelani. Carly, Mamelani’s Director and Leroy, Mamelani youth Facilitator completed the race alongside Simphiwe, one of the young programme graduates who was participating in the race for the 2nd time.

Even though the actual route was changed just before the day, the campaign was still a huge success raising R95 000 towards our programmes. We at Mamelani Projects are overwhelmed the dedication that all the cyclists showed – and want to extend our thanks to the 200 individuals who backed their rides! We are deeply grateful to each of you for the role you played in the success of the campaign! We can’t wait to have you as part of our team again next year.

The Mamelani Team would like to extend our thanks to the companies that sponsored prizes for the top fundraisers. Shout out to our top adult Mamelani Movers – Susanna Rasmussen, Gillian Benjamin and Nilesh. A special mention must go to Shaun Ter Bruggen who went way beyond the R2000 target, raising R16 577 for Mamelani! And to our top Kiddies Champions Jamie and Erin Janks, Habeeb and Dawood Kariem and Uthmaan Orrie, Ruby and Joseph Singer and Lior Shamansky. Than you all!
